Aforetime House @ Samui has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Taling Ngam Beach. This hostel is more of a home than a casual place to stay. The family behind the business are very wonderful people, and go above and beyond to make your stay is as comfortable as possible. This is the best hostel I've been able to stay at.

Set in Lamai, 200 metres from Lamai Beach, Kerton Hostel offers accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking and a restaurant. EVERYTHING! It had been a while since I loved a place this much in Thailand - the beds are private and comfortable, the ensuite bathroom was amazing with lots of natural sunlight, great to have the pantry and common spaces, staff was super lovely and helpful, centric location in Lamai and so on… I can only talk wonders about this place!

Located in Koh Samui, Baan Hinlad Home and Hostel has a garden. Free WiFi is available and in-house parking is provided. All units at the hostel are equipped with a seating area. Beautiful and peaceful place, far enough from the crowds but not so far from the beach by motorbike. You can rent a motorbike directly at your accommodation, ask in Anjar. Anjar, the owner, is the kind of person you are really happy to meet on your trip. Perfect from the start to the end of your stay. He comes directly to the pier and takes you through your accommodation and does the same when you leave, free of charge. He is always available to give you advice and help, always smiling. This guy is a legend! I wish you the best for the future, thank you again my friend!

Situated in Chaweng and with Chaweng Beach reachable within less than 1 km, DK1Hostel features concierge services, rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. The owner is absolutely lovely, she makes sure you have a great time there and introduces everybody. It really felt like family staying there! Would definitely come back :)

Set in Ban Na We, 1.2 km from Mae Nam Beach, Blockhouse Hostel offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a bar. Very nice staff. Really helped me a lot. One of those is providing motorbike.

Situated in Lamai, 80 metres from Rocky's Beach, The Rock Samui - formerly known as The Rock Residence - SHA Extra Plus features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a... everything especially the owners. they treated as if I was a family member and took care of me because I had to stay all night to work online.

Located in Bangrak, Samui Backpacker Hotel is a 1-minute walk from a pier that can take guests to Ko Phangan and the famous full moon parties. If you are coming here by the ferry ! Get a scooter as soon as you are dropped of on the island ! It aould be a 30 min ride from ferry to hostel

Located in Koh Samui, a few steps from Lipa Noi Beach, Chill Inn Lipa Noi Hostel and Beach Cafe provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a bar and water sports facilities. Nice location on the beach, a peaceful place to get away from the more touristy parts of the island. The wifi was good for working, aircon good, beds comfortable, and the staff were helpful and friendly, especially Shine, who always went out of his way to see if I needed anything.

Chill Inn Lamai Hostel & Beach Cafe features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Koh Samui. I can’t say enough good things about Chill Inn Lamai. They have bike rentals right on the property so getting around is a breeze for travellers, the facilities are clean comfortable and cold in the summer heat. Lamai Beach brings the most laid back of travellers and the bar and surrounding area on the property are both beautiful and comfortable. The staff are super happy and extremely helpful. Tours, hotel transfers and rides around Koh Samui are all available in the main office and the food available is wonderful along with 20% off of cocktails for guests. I have stayed here 2 times over my visit to Thailand and I had gone through a traumatic experience on Koh Samui off of the property. While I was in the hospital the manager Rob and staff helped me out as much as possible by helping me book rooms, watching my bag for me while I was in the hospital and always helping me with my bags. Chill in has been the best hostel I have stayed in for a laid back, comfortable backpacking experience. If you’re tired of the hustle and bustle of beautiful Thailand Chill Inn Lamai is the place for you to sit back, relax and paddleboard or kayak on the ocean with the equipment freely available.
